Who founded Hoover?
The Hoover brand name has been synonymous with vacuuming for decades and the brand has been in existence for more than 100 years. The first vacuum cleaner, designed by janitor James Spangler, comprised a box, a fan, a silk pillowcase and a broomstick. His cousin’s husband William Hoover, immediately sensed the enormous potential of this futuristic “stick”.
