In our test, we found that it worked like a dream on hard floors even on the lowest suction setting, although carpets needed higher power to achieve the same results. The stick also retracts to turn the appliance into a portable handheld vac, useful for tackling upholstery and car interiors. Overall, we were highly impressed with the value for money.
Amazon Basics 2-in-1 cordless vacuum cleaner
Amazon's Basics range offers everyday household essentials at budget-friendly prices, and the range now includes appliances such as this 2-in-1 cordless vacuum - but does this cut-price model live up the hype?
Our reviewer Thea found that the bargain vacuum did indeed offer great value for money - with some caveats. The suction on the model's lower settings was a little lacklustre. Vacuuming on the maximum power setting gave impressive results, but this in turn means a quicker depletion of the rechargeable battery and thus a more frequent need for charging.
