A lightweight, powerful stick vacuum that offers great features at a reasonable price, however, for larger households, the bin capacity might be lacking.

How we tested Vax vacuums

We put three Vax models through their paces on both carpets and hard floors, looking at how effectively they picked up fine dirt as well as larger debris. We awarded each model up to 20 points for the following criteria:

Testing the Vax ONEPWR Blade 4

Ease of use:

Weighing in at 3.1kg, this lightweight, cordless design is perfect for tackling everyday cleaning. Its slim profile is ideal for cleaning underneath furniture, and the handle is very comfortable to hold. The dust container can be flipped open easily and emptied straight into the bin, and removing hair that gets tangled around the brush bar is straightforward.

All the basic attachments you would expect are included, and Vax also throws in a Cordless Pro Kit 2, which includes a selection of additional tools. In terms of features, there are LED headlights to help you see dust and debris more clearly in dark corners or under furniture, as well as a low battery indicator and power boost setting. It also transforms into a versatile handheld in seconds.
