Honeyed spiced cider

- Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1l Dry cider
- 75g Honey we used Rowse Pure and Natural Honey
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 2 or 3 Star anise to taste
- 1 Apple
Method
- STEP 1
Pour the cider into a saucepan, add the honey, cinnamon sticks and star anise. Core the apple then cut into 6 thick wedges. Add to the cider and heat very gently for 10 minutes.
- STEP 2
Take the cider off the heat and allow to stand for 20-30 minutes so that the flavours can develop.
- STEP 3
Gently reheat when ready to serve and ladle into glasses.
