Green bean and shiitake mushroom bowl with ginger and soy sticky rice

This tasty green bean and shiitake mushroom bowl is packed with goodness, flavour and can be whipped up in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 Large onion (sliced)
  • 2cm-Piece of ginger (peeled and grated)
  • 100g Fine green beans (trimmed and chopped)
  • 135g Shiitake mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 x 250g Pouch Tilda Soy & Ginger Sticky Rice
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Cornflour
  • 4 tbsp Water

Method

  • Step 1

    Add the oils to a large pan and heat. Add the onion and ginger and cook until softened.

  • Step 2

    Add the green beans and mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes.

  • Step 3

    In a small bowl, combine all of the sauce ingredients and mix well. Add to the pan and stir to thicken and coat the vegetables.

  • Step 4

    Heat the rice according to the packet instructions and serve in bowls heaped with the vegetables. COOK’S TIP: Make it veggie or vegan by using a plant-based oyster sauce.
