Chocolate orange fondue - need we say anymore?

  • Step 1

    First add the orange rind, cinnamon, sugar and water to a small pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved.

  • Step 2

    Simmer for 3-4 minutes until syrupy and then leave to cool for 10 minutes or longer for the flavours to develop.

  • Step 3

    Remove the orange rind from the pan and reheat the syrup. Once hot, take the pan off the heat and stir in the chocolate until it has melted.

  • Step 4

    Stir until smooth and then mix in 2 tablespoons of cream until glossy. Reheat on a gentle heat if necessary.

  • Step 5

    Arrange the fruit on a plate with small forks or fondue skewers.

  • Step 6

    Pour the chocolate into a heart-shaped dish or fondue pot over a burner and decorate with an extra drizzle of cream.
