Tesco spring/summer homeware 2021: the highlights
Fox & Ivy Bumble Bee Sunburst Mirror, £12
Sunburst mirrors are everywhere right now, but they often come at a premium price. However, this boho gem from Fox & Ivy is a steal at £12 – with an intricate three-tone wooden pattern, it definitely looks far more expensive.
Natural Greens leaf ceramic jug, £8
Spring and summer decor doesn’t all have to be about vivid shades and bold patterns – more delicate designs can also evoke those sunny afternoon feelings, like this dainty fern and leaf ceramic jug. Perfect for serving up a nice cold jug of lemonade, or a pitcher of gin and tonic with a few twists of cucumber!
Seville stripe double oven glove, £5
Foreign holidays are looking a bit dicey for this summer, but you can still bring a taste of sunnier climes into your home. This oven glove evokes the Spanish city of Seville’s famous bitter oranges, on a vibrant teal background. Machine washable, line dry only.
Bouclé throw, £18
Even as the days get warmer, spring evenings can still be a little chilly, so this cosy but breathable knit throw makes a great transitional blanket, paired with a spring/summer bedding set.
You could also toss it over a neutral-toned sofa to add a pop of colour, or spread it out in the garden for an impromptu picnic. If pink isn’t your jam, Tesco also sell an identical throw in ochre yellow.
Cleo blue mug, £4.50
This stout stoneware mug is hand-painted with royal blue streaks, giving it an artisan feel which belies its high street price tag. Not only does it look fabulous, it’s also dishwasher and microwave safe!
Daydream fur rug in Ivory, £12
A fur rug for £12! Of course, we’re not talking real fur – this is a super-soft, luxurious faux fur that’s designed to feel heavenly underfoot. If you’re an Instagram interiors fan, you probably have noticed that wavy lines are a massive homeware trend right now.
Bayswood large succulent on stand, £14
If gardening isn’t your jam, you’ll already know that artificial plants are a godsend to those of us not blessed with green fingers – and this faux succulent is impressively true-to-life. Place this in any corner of your home that needs a style boost, from a mantelpiece to a coffee table.
Watermelon ceramic candle, £4
Sweet and light, watermelon is the ultimate summer fragrance – on a hot day, nothing is more glorious than a cool slice of fresh watermelon. This candle, with its matching ceramic jar, will bring that fruity, tropical vibe into your home. Despite its small size, you’ll get a generous 10 hours of burn time.
