When it comes to aspirational cookware brands, nothing beats Le Creuset! Thanks to their distinctive design and rainbow of finishes, Le Creuset items are instantly recognisable on kitchen shelves or countertops (or Instagram feeds). And while the French manufacturer's output includes everything from saucepans to mugs and utensils, Le Creuset's most-coveted range is without doubt its iconic cast iron casserole dishes.

Le Creuset pans are renowned not only for being aesthetically pleasing but also high quality - each dish comes with a 100-year guarantee - but that also means they're not cheap!

Even the smallest of their cast iron casseroles will set you back more than £150, which just isn't in everyone's budget. But the good news is that you can find high street dupes that offer a similar look and feel for a fraction of the price. Just read on to find out where to buy affordable alternatives to Le Creuset! And don't miss our guide to the newest Le Creuset colour, beautiful blue Azure!

Best Le Creuset casserole dish dupes

Sage Cast Iron Casserole Dish

Aldi made a splash back in 2o19 when they first debuted their own-brand Kirkton House cast iron casserole dish, an ultra-budget alternative to the likes of Le Creuset. At £29.99, their 26cm dish is around ten times cheaper than its luxury twin, but it's just as versatile - compatible with any hob, it's also oven-safe up to 250C. Our only caveat would be that these are heavy dishes, weighing in at around 6kg with the lid, which might not be suitable for all home cooks. Available in a range of colours, we're partial to on-trend sage, pictured above. And click here to see the rest of our Aldi homeware dupes!

Dunelm Cast Iron Shallow Casserole Dish

We've previously raved about Dunelm's budget-friendly Anthropologie lookalike mirrors, and they've scored another win with their cast iron casserole dishes.

Available in a range of colours and sizes, we love this shallow-style cast iron casserole dish. It can hold up to 3.5 litres - enough to whip up a one-pot family dinner - and the hand-painted finish adds a welcome luxe touch.

Sainsbury's Home Cast Iron Casserole Dish Orange 5.3L

If you're not just after the versatile cooking properties of a cast iron casserole dish, but also that distinctive Le Creuset-style gleaming ombré finish, Sainsbury's is the place to go. Their 5.3L cast iron casserole dish comes in a variety of sizes, including cream and grey, but our favourite has to be orange - the shade is a dead ringer for Le Creuset's classic volcanic orange. Check out the matching griddle pan, too! The dish is compatible with all hob types, including induction, and is also suitable for use in the oven.

ProCook Cast Iron Casserole

ProCook has long been a respected name for all kinds of kitchen equipment, and while it may not be as cheap as some high street homeware brands, its cookware offers reliable quality at significantly more affordable price than the likes of Le Creuset and Staub.

Take their 4.7 litre cast iron casserole, shown above in delectable graduated bottle green. As well as everything you'd expect from a cast iron pan - it's hob and oven safe up to 260C - it also boasts a number of welcome extra touches, such as both inner and outer enamel coating and self-basting dots inside the lid, as well as a 25 year guarantee.
