A great option for larger households or cooking in a campervan, the Proscenic T31 offers 2 shelves and a rotisserie function - however, if you're short on counter space, this might not be the model for you.

How to use: This is a bit of a beast compared to other air fryers on test - but then it's a bit of a hybrid as it's part oven too. However, it's straightforward to set up, but it might be worth allocating space in a drawer to keep the accessories altogether: a drip tray and crisping tray, along with rotisserie kit. While this functions well as an air fryer - it cooked chips and a jacket potato in around 20 minutes, you'll want to choose this model over the more compact, basket-style air fryers if you have a large family, or love the idea of cooking a rotisserie chicken in well under an hour.

The control panel is initiative, with 12 pre-set settings for the air fryer, which include chicken, chips, vegetables etc, and you can also control temperature and time manually. There are also preheat and keep warm functions, as well as the rotisserie setting. We love the large glass door and interior light, so you can keep an eye on whatever you're cooking.

The rotisserie cage provides the same results as the air fryer baskets with a rotating paddle - it means food like potatoes and chicken legs, can cook evenly without the need to turn or shake them.

Taste test: The jacket potato was really nicely cooked - crisply skin but soft and fluffy in the middle. The rotisserie chicken, which was 1kg, cooked in 45 minutes at 205°C and was juicy with crispy, brown skin, while the chips and breaded chicken looked and tasted great, cooking in just less than 20 minutes.

Should you buy it: The rotisserie function elevates this from simply being half air fryer and half oven, to being a fun - albeit sizeable - addition to your kitchen. That said, there is a more compact rotisserie air fryer available from Tower, which we haven't tested yet - so if you don't have lots of mouths to feed, that might be the better option. In the end, we found this simple to use, and if you're renting, or student or are looking for a compact oven for your camper van, this is a great option for you.
